Part 1 – QBlade Wind Turbine Simulation Software with GUI

Introduction

In past posts, an opensource programme for simulation of wind turbines and a limited wind farm configuration was covered. It is called OpenFAST. A nice programme it is; however, it does not have an interactive user interface. Introduced here is QBlade which has similar models of wind turbines as OpenFAST as a free programme plus, it has a graphical user interface. The video below shows further some functionalities of QBlade.
